Curated

Events

Small, welcoming experiences designed to spark real conversation.

A mix of low-pressure meetups and curated experiences that spotlight local creativity. Some events are simple and free, designed to be non-intimidating for newcomers. Others are intentional collaborations where we create shared experiences. Giving you reason to talk, connect, and come back.

Recurring

Pilates, book club, creative nights, and socials, so you can come back and actually build relationships.

Find your weekday or weekend ritual. There’s something for everyone. These recurring events make it easier to see familiar faces, feel more at home each time, and find space to build real friendships over weeks instead of one night.

Series

Not a one-off event page, an ongoing space to belong.

Connection Collective goes beyond the event. Our newsletter shares local features, recommendations, and community notes that make the city feel smaller in the best way. And coming soon, the Connection Collective podcast:

Text reading "Why connection collective exists" with a black background in white font.

Connection Collective was created because adult friendship can be surprisingly hard and no one talks about it honestly enough. After moving cities, changing careers, or just watching friend groups naturally drift, many of us find ourselves craving deeper connection but unsure where to find it.

Connection Collective is about creating spaces where showing up solo feels normal, the vibe is warm and intentional, and connection happens naturally. No forced icebreakers or transactional networking

Maggie Hildebrand, Founder

Maggie moved to downtown Toronto in 2024 to start her career in cancer research. But the city felt isolating as a newcomer working a 9-5. She'd grab coffee alone, go to pilates classes where no one talked, and attend gatherings where everyone already knew each other. By spring 2025, she realized she wasn't craving plans, she was craving consistency. People she'd see more than once. Conversations that went deeper than small talk.

For months, she thought she was the only one struggling, until she posted a TikTok about it. The comments flooded in. So she planned a picnic in High Park for anyone who felt the same.

300 women signed up and that picnic became Connection Collective.

Connection Collective is all about creating spaces where women in their 20s and 30s can show up, connect authentically, and feel less alone. We partner with brands and businesses who get that—ones who want to create meaningful experiences, not just run ads.

Whether it's co-hosting an event, sharing products we believe in, sponsoring the podcast, or collaborating on content that actually resonates, we're open to partnerships that align with our values.

Sound like you? Let's talk.
